Do you think it is ok to use a tanning bed while pregnant?

Someone on social media said that they use a tanning bed and are 19 weeks pregnant. When I stated my opinion that she shouldn't expose her baby to radiation it got very heated. I just wanted to see your guys' opinion

Tanning not pregnant is dangerous for your body. Why would someone think it’s okay while pregnant?

Just go get a spray tan done. It’s cheaper and lasts longer. A good air brush session is around $25 and lasts up to 4 weeks.
Look great instantly, no skin cancer or aging side effects. It’s a win win. They can even contour abs on you if you want.

The problem is overheating (apart from skin cancer obviously). Sunbeds get very hot and high temperatures aren't good for babies.

I don't think it matters if you are pregnant or not. It's bad for you but it doesn't transfer to the fetus, at least not that I know of.

It’s not even safe to go into a sauna or jacuzzi while pregnant because of overheating 😑 why would anybody think a tanning bed is safe
