Backpack because you have both arms free. Makes it easier to put baby down, strap baby into car, bend forward to grab something, etc. You will need it even more once your baby starts walking (running, lol) and you have to bend down to chase them and pick them up.

I have a backpack and a shoulder bag. Backpacks are great because you’re hands free, but shoulder bags are great because you can grab something from it quickly with one hand!
