“Kids will be kids” 😒😒
So I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant and I feel as big as a damn house... I’ve gained about 35 pounds so far and my confidence is at an all time low.. I weigh about 170 now. I just went to dinner the other night with my fiancé’s whole family and notice his sisters kids kept looking at me and laughing... I brushed it off like oh maybe my hair or makeup or something is messed up and no ones telling me ehhh whatever.. next thing I hear is “but she’s like fat and it’s gross” “maybe we should tell her to stop eating” “yea she needs to stop eating and drinking everything until the baby is here” “maybe her baby is gonna be fat like her” “that’s gross” “ahahah ahha!!” Mind you these kids are 12 & 14 years old they even got their 7 year old sister to join in on the “fun” and ask me if I’m “having a big baby or am I just fat”.. when I brought it up to my fiancé he said we could bring it up to his sister after dinner.. her response was “oh kids will be kids”.. now I feel she should’ve said something to her kids or atleast had a conversation with them about it not being nice to speak about people in such a way.. since that night her kids find it funny to still comment on my weight and even more now since I’ve tried to bring it up to their mother and nothing was done.. I feel as if they know what they said was wrong and they know they got away with it so why not continue there’s no consequences to the things they said... now I know they’re just kids but I feel like at this age they should be told that their words are rude and hurtful.. what should I do??
