I’m 16w4d pregnant with our—mine and my husband’s—son. We’re both ecstatic, because this one appears healthy and we lost our little girl in 2016 at 28 weeks due to Bladder Outlet Obstruction...a very rare disorder.

My husband’s family is acting like it’s just his child. The first thing they did was congratulate him because they know he’s “always wanted a kid.” Then, when we found out the sex, they all smiled at him and said “we know you’re so happy!” His sister—my SIL—wrote on our gender announcement, “Congrats, brother, I know you’ve always wanted this.” Then, tonight my MIL sent a pic of a baby outfit she bought to my husband’s phone...didn’t even send it me. I wouldn’t have seen it unless he showed it to me.

I just feel like I’m nothing but a baby maker for my husband’s family...I’m this child’s parent, too! I’m not close enough to them to make a big deal out of it, but it pisses me off. Anyone else been through this?
