Are you finding out the gender?

I really want this baby to be a surprise, but my husband really wants to know before baby is born. Anyone been in my place or not found out and have some advice to give?

I really want to be surprised by baby’s gender. My husband probably would go either way, but I’ve been up front with this since we started dating - because how many times do you get to be genuinely surprised? Also, I didn’t want everything to be blue/pink for the baby, and there will be no gender disappointment. We also have friends that were told one gender and about a month later had to retract due to a new ultrasound. It’s a little more complicated because the wives of my brother and my cousin are due in the same six week span as me, one already knows it’s a girl, the other will find out. But I’m holding out until birth. Maybe compromise? This one surprise, next one you’ll find out?

Hmm...my husband and I both want to find out the gender, but maybe you could just explain to your husband why the surprise is so important to you. You could tell him that it's one of the only big surprises left in life (which is true). Also, it will make the baby's birth day that much more special and amazing because the anticipation will have been building through the whole pregnancy! ❤️

My husband wanted to find out with our son but I was set on not finding out so we didn’t find out and now my husband is pushing not to find out with this one.. I just kept saying “I want you to walk out into the waiting room and tell my dad it’s a....” and he finally agreed. After the ultrasound and I had told the tech we didnt want to know!
