How do I complain about a screaming baby?

I live in a block of apartments and my very noisy neighbours now have a baby that wakes me up every morning. I work shift work so I need to be sleeping. 
They were noisy before the baby because they also have a barking dog, but this just makes it 10 times worse. Walls are not double bricked so I can hear everything and vice versa, however I am super quiet. 
I know babies cry and obviously they can’t help it if the baby won’t shut up, but how do I confront them without sounding rude about it?

Buy some ear plugs or put some headphones on and listen to some music while you sleep. You shouldn’t even be thinking of confronting your neighbor about their baby crying cause all it’s going to do is make them hostile towards you and probably make them retaliate by being louder because they know it bothers you.

Are you a parent? I’m sure the parents are well aware and feel terrible. But there’s only so much they can do. Babies cry. Sometimes they don’t stop. Maybe turn some music on or turn the tv up. That’s the price you pay for apartments I guess.

there's no way to do it without sounding rude. the fact that your admitting you know a little baby won't stop crying until he/she wants too, and even the parents can't 100% control it, even this question is rude. babies cry dude.

babies have no other form of communication other than crying. if it’s so much of a problem, i’d suggest finding a different place. however, if the child is left screaming for longer than a baby should, you should tell your landlord.

Unless you’re a parent you have no damn business saying anything. I would keep my mouth shut if I were you. That mother is probably doing her damn best. Do you think hearing a baby cry constantly is fun? Because I assure you it’s NOT. I have a two year old, and he throws tantrums now. He sits there out of no where and cries and screams, I’ve done everything possible to get him to stop but he won’t so the doctor told me to just let him be. Do you know how EXTREMELY frustrating it is for me to have a screaming child and be super sleep deprived? I work and go to college as well by the way. It makes me want to rip my hair out. It’s beyond frustrating. But there’s nothing I can do. He was very sick and I had to stay up with him all night while he cried from being so sick with a fever (took a long time until meds kicked in) and I hadn’t slept in days. And hearing him scream to top it off was the worst thing ever because I couldn’t make him feel better. No one has complained because they are understanding because they have kids. If I were you I would keep my mouth shut and look at other places to live. Saying something to a mother that’s trying her best and is already frustrating for her isnt going to do anything but make the mother feel worse. If you were to complain, it’s not like the crying would stop.

I’m a mom and I live in an apartment. My babe who is two cries and throws tantrums. Yes, I feel extremely bad for my neighbors and I try my best to keep it low at all times. But sometimes it’s out of my control. Her tantrums aka endless screaming and crying can last for awhile no matter what I do to help her stop. I’ve been living at these apartments for two years with my baby and haven’t had a complaint yet. I’m saying this at the nicest way possible - invest in some ear plugs. Because we really don’t have control over it 🤷🏽‍♀️
