Mirena IUD

for those who have the Mirena IUD how long did you bleed/spot for after it got inserted? I have had it a month and I have been bleeding everyday since. I know that you can bleed up to3- 6 months but I don't want to wear a tampon every day for that long so is that timeline very accurate or not
