Birth control for period?

If anyone has bad periods and takes birth control for it comment down below and let me know if it worked

I had super irregular periods until i started birth control and then i got them normal from then on and its been maybe four years on it

I've been on 3 different types of pills, and the latest pill seems to do the trick. Been on the pill for almost 3 years.

I took it for a couple of years in my teens because I had excessive bleeding, prolonged periods that would last for 10 days and what the doctor called "painful period syndrome". I took Loestrin for about 2 years and it completely regulated my cycle and I only had spotting during my "period" with almost no pain while taking it. When I stopped the BC my period stayed regular and I had a moderate flow for one day and light flow for two or three days afterwards and my period is usually over in 3-4 days. I do have excruciating pain during my first day but while I was taking BC the pain was pretty much gone.
