When should I test?

So I have really irregular cycles and this past one was actually somewhat normal. My hubby and I BD the day of O which was Feb 23ish and about 4 days before. Well I took a test around 11dpo and got a BFN, now according to some apps I between 1 and 3 days late.... I did have two small incidents of brown spotting, have terrible nausea, no sign of AF. I generally have terrible pms, acne, spotting and so far... I'm so scared to see the one line once again...
