Will coconut oil get rid of dandruff?

I started getting dandruff I'm not sure why but my sis in law told me to use coconut oil. Then just comb it out and it will come out. I don't trust any of those shampoos head and shoulders of selsum blue whatever it's called. Kinda hard to see but it's there.

Yes, also getting a good quality moisturizing shampoo (try purchasing one from sallys, they arent much more expensive than store brand)
Tea tree oil helps me, too. I have psoriasis pretty badly on my scalp if i dont keep up with coconut oil, tea tree oil and good shampoo/conditioner.

that looks like dry scalp, not dandruff. dandruff is yellow, waxy flakes caused by a fungus.

Yes. Rub it into your scalp, put a head cap on & apply some heat to open your pores & follicles to absorb better. But you also need to get a better shampoo.
