Anyone work in the medical field?

And do you have any visible tattoos? I am about to get my degree to become an ultrasound tech and was wondering anyone else’s experiences working in a hospital/clinic/doctors office and how they feel about tattoos. I have 3 tattoos but none are visible.. but in the future I do hope to get some visible ones

I am an RN in Labor and Delivery, and I have visible tattoos (wrist and finger). I am not required to cover them here, and no one has ever said anything about them or complained. I live in a smaller town (30,000) on the Bible Belt. Several of our nurses and physicians have visible tattoos. I think it depends on the employer's policy.

I don’t think they’re too picky about this anymore. My mom is an ultrasound tech and I am in school now to be an ultrasound tech and my moms boss has a full sleeve!

All my nurses/ultrasound ladies have had a tattoo or two I could see.

By the time you’re established enough somewhere it won’t be a big deal. 
You can always wear long sleeves or high collars. 
Now, back of hands and on your face is a diff story.
