Is end of period spotting still considered your period?

Towards the end of my period my bleeding always Peters down to brown spotting, should I still consider it a period day for charting? This morning I did have a little bit of red blood but the rest of the day it has been brown spotting. Would that be considered  a “light” bleeding day? Is my period officially over when the brown spotting has ceased? My periods have always been this way and I’ve never known how it should actually be charted.

Doesn’t overly matter, it’s more the first day of logging your period that matters the most because it’s signalling the beginning of a new cycle. Generally though if the flow is enough for a pad that needs to be changed, that’s still your period and not just spotting
