D and c ??

So what was your all’s experience with a d and c ? Was it painful afterwards? How many days are you in bed for?

I was scared after hearing horror stories but for me it couldn't have been further from the truth. I was told I was having a silent miscarriage and to wait 2 weeks for a confirmation ultrasound scan/natural miscarriage. Then I was given medical intervention which I found out 3 weeks later did not work so I had a surgical intervention. Those 5 weeks were complete hell. The worst time of my life, I have never felt so low. After the surgery I felt like some one had pressed my reset button. I was a bit dozey for 2 days after the G.A. but I was pain free and no longer bleeding. I felt like the hormonal imbalance had lifted from my mood and I had the energy to start to get a grip of myself. Please do not be afraid. It really was fine. Best of luck to you xx ❤

I took 3 days off from work after. There was not as much physical pain, they did send me home on pain mets, but there was a lot of mental pain for a couple weeks. The second week after was the worst and I would cry at everything. It has been 4 months but sometimes I still cry after.

I was just very tired. Honestly it just felt like a normal bad period for me but I was very tired & just almost emotionless after what all I had just gone through. I still felt pregnant.. boobs still were swollen & a little sore, which made me feel crazy bc I knew I wasn’t pregnant anymore. I bled for 2 weeks. Was fine physically to go back to work two days later but I mentally was not all there. I will say a prayer for you tonight. I would be around 20 weeks & I can’t help but to think about it. In the back of my mind at least once a day. That’s the most painful part..

I was out for about 3 days after. It was not so much physical pain, it was more emotional pain.
