So I had this long distance relationship. I work and go to the university in a city and my boyfriend works in another city. The distance between us is 2.5 hours by car. We’ve managed the situation for over a year where I visited and he the same. 6 months ago, he decided to move in with his sister because she wasn’t financially stable to pay her bills and was also helping him take care of his son he had from a failed marriage. Usually we meet up during the weekend and sometimes during the week when we are both free. Recently I had to deal with exams, work and flu and for the past 4 weekends there were lots of excuses for not visiting. His father was either sick or his son needed attention. His sister traveled with friends or he had to do something with his mother. I didn’t have problem with all those excuses until I noticed a big gap in our communication. I confronted him about it for 3 days straight and he couldn’t give a good reason for the delay in picking my calls or replying my messages. Then I asked him if he was cheating on me; at first he tried to maneuver the question with a direct answer then 2 days later, with long words of him being an asshole, he confirmed he slept with an ex because I pushed him away when he wanted to visit during week instead of the normal weekend after telling him I was having a stressful time and very busy during the week. Right now i feel hurt, so confused and insecure but I still have so much love for him. I don’t know what to do.
