So we were trying for about 5 months before I got pregnant, that pregnancy ended in early miscarriage, does that restart the timeline until we are allowed to seek fertility help??? we are at the 9 month mark if it doesn't.

My doctor told me that the average healthy couple who are also under age 35 should seek help after 1 year of trying. If you are over 35 and have been trying for 6 months and are having problems then seek help. Usually people go on to have a healthy pregnancy after 1 even 2 miscarriages. If you have had 3 or more then seek fertility help.

I have counted since I first started. I’ve had two miscarriages and if it had reset things, I wouldn’t have been able to see a specialist. I’m very glad I did. I finally feel on the right track.

I’d count since you first started since it was an early miscarriage. I miscarried in November at 12weeks so I’ll give it to November before we seek any alternatives or if I miscarry again I’ll go sooner. But we got pregnant on our first try with my miscarriage. If it had taken 5months I don’t know if I’d be so patient. 
Sometimes it depends what your insurance will cover or if you’re not going to be covered at all then you can really seek fertility anytime you want 🤷🏼‍♀️ good luck! 🌈👶🏻💕

I know in the UK that it’s unlikely you’ll receive free IVF treatment if you’ve ever had a mc because they deem you able to carry a child. Which obviously isn’t fair at all. A friend of mine is going through that currently and has been refused. We receive medical help to scan / investigate the issue after usually your third mc but has to be in a row. Or we have to go private. If your in the states it might well be different 🤞
