Where is the best place to get a first time tattoo?

I'm wanting to get a tattoo for my 21st birthday but want to know what would be the most bearable spot to get one done. Leg or back?

My first was on my ribs. They honestly don’t really hurt. 
I would recommend getting your first tattoo somewhere easier to hide tho for sure. 
But if it’s just down to thigh or back, it depends on what you wanna get done. It’s art, not a sticker. Put it somewhere where it looks natural and most beautiful. Like works well with the lines of your body etc.

I got my first tattoo on my shoulder blade, then my second one is on my forearm & now my newest one is on my thigh and I love every single one of them and where I decided to put them 😍

It’s honestly not so bad it depends on your pain tolerance though and how big you’re getting it!

depends on the size. I have a huge one that covers my entire thigh and it fuckin killed. but that's because it took like 6 hours lol my first one was inside my arm

Back is one of the most painful places to get a tattoo (a LOT of nerve endings in the spine).

It all depends on your pain threshold. I got my first proper tattoo over my collar bone and it didn’t hurt one bit. My next once o have the money is gonna be a half sleeve on my right arm starting just below my elbow crease. I think in all honesty, the most painful place to get a tattoo would be the back of your hands and your feet given how thin the skin is and how close the bones are to the surface 🤷🏻‍♀️but saying that, the ones on my fingers didn’t hurt at all so idk just depends on the person I think
