Why does the doctor say to wait!

Question

I had a follow up appointment with my OBGYN to make sure my HCG tested 0. He specially told me to wait 3 MONTHS before TTC again. Why?! My hubby & I can't wait 3 months.

Because he feels as your doctor that your body needs time to heal.

I had one doctor tell me that and another one told me I could try right away. This second doctor said they sometimes say 3 months so you are emotionally ready to have another baby but everyone is different. He also said that our bodies return back to normal very quickly. If I couldn't try again it would make me so much more depressed. I started trying again right after I stopped bleeding.

First of all, I’m very sorry for your loss. It is a terrible thing to experience, no mother wants to lose a child, no matter how early it was. 
I was told to wait at least one cycle (after your period returns) to allow time for my uterine lining to rebuild. I was told it would help with a better chance for successful implantation. If you get pregnant before your body is ready, you could suffer another miscarriage. 
How far along were you? Unless you were pretty far along, or had complications, I’m not sure why you would need to wait 3 cycles. 
When I had my miscarriage, my body bounced back very quickly. Within 4 weeks I had my first period. And then 2 weeks after, I had ovulated again. I was using OPKs to track my cycle, I wanted to know exactly what my body was doing. I got pregnant with my rainbow that cycle. I had a very successful, healthy full term baby girl.

Why does the doctor say to wait!
