Worried about babysitting/ child care after my leave is up

My mother works full time though she doesn’t want to and my MIL can be all over the place. She’s a former nurse who means well but does not always follow directions. She also has always had a cat and didn’t care that my husband -her son- has always been allergic to them. I don’t feel comfortable leaving my daughter with either mom and I fear the cat dander will be all over everything I may leave at my in-laws. Would you just look into daycare or a nanny or should I lay out my concerns to the moms before they assume they will babysit???
