Is Clomid for women that ovulate regularly?

My doctor is trying to give me clomid when she knows I ovulate regularly. I thought clomid was for women that do not ovulate. Is anyone taking it that does ovulate?

It makes you produce more follicles so if you are ovulating own your own it’s fine.. it’ll help you create more & you’ll have more of a chance.

My doctor suggested it too but we don’t know if I ovulate regularly right now. Been trying for a year and nothing. I’m just a bit nervous with possibly having multiples if we do clomid.
