Anyone given birth at NYU?

If so what was your experience like?

I delivered at NYU for both of my children (21 months old and 12 days old). Overall I had a great experience. The nurses were extremely nice and helpful, especially with my first when I had no idea what was happening. It is a teaching hospital so be prepared for extra bodies in the room. It didn’t bother me at all and it was really sweet when some of them came in after the delivery just to meet the baby. My only complaint is the recovery rooms. They are tiny and shared and if you have the bed closest to the door every nurse, visitor, etc will run into your bed or the baby’s bassinet  all day and night. They do have a few private rooms which are first come first serve and pretty impossible to get. My experience was fine but I have heard horror stories about over capacity etc. if you have any specific questions I am happy to help out as best I can. good luck!
