So went for my 11 week check up today and almost had a scare. Couldn't gear my love's heartbeat because my placenta lays on top and to the side of my baby almost forming a blanket, so the did a transvaginal ultrasound just to be clear. Babe was kicking squirming and heart was pumping. 😍🤗 Doc recommended me to take the Non invasive Prenatal Test which is supposedly more advanced than the First Trimester Screen and only offered for women 35 and older and high risk. Has anyone taken this test before? What should I expect while with the genetics counselor?
