Boyfriend birthday present

So I just started dating this guy, very new. His birthday is next week and idk what to get him. It’s hard because he makes a great income and I don’t. Not saying he wouldn’t appreciate anything but he could get himself anything he really wants so idk what nice little thing to do or get for his bday. He won’t allow me to take him to a dinner or anything. So idk what to do. Especially since we are fresh relationship and still getting to know what each other likes. Any ideas???
