Yesterday my good friend was walking her dog at the park across the street from her house. She ran into a neighbor who brings her youngest to the same park everyday. The little girl is maybe 4 years old and always plays with my friends dog. My friend left and crossed the street to go home and leave for work. She turned around and in the blink of an eye the little girl let go of her moms hand and darted into the street. She was hit by a car who didn’t even his the breaks until after the little girl was in the air. They couldn’t get her breathing after that, and she was pronounced dead at the hospital. Hug your kids. Don’t make fun of kids on leashes. My friend is devastated.
