Baby breathing weird?

Is it normal for a newborn to breath fast? It’s usually when he’s asleep or falling asleep, but for a short amount of time he breathes super fast... kinda like a dog panting? He’s 10 days old.

wait till he starts making all the noises. lol. they shudder, breathe weird, snort, sound stuffy, grunt, pant, moan, sound like goats. all normal 😂😂

The doctor said it’s because they’re developing a breathing pattern. It’s normal unless they turn blue or look like they’re having trouble breathing

Our little girl has reflux so she always has a stuffy nose. It freaked me out for a while. She’s 7 weeks tomorrow and for the past week her breathing has shown signs of regulating. So it will get better. 
If a baby can’t breath, they will act like any other human bring and look like their drowning. If they are starting to have issues breathing, they will get a bluish tinge to their face triangle, so blue tint in the lips, above them, the nose and right between the eye brows. 
I spent many nights in the first two weeks wondering if I needed to take her to the Pediatrician. I decided to watch and wait, but if your truly concerned? The best person to talk to is your Ped.

This is usually very normal! We all breathe differently when sleeping. But you can always call the nurse line and ask their opinion.

If you’re worried just get him checked by your gp... but my daughter used to do this... and I was always worrying but Googledit and babies do breathe a lot faster than normal... x
