Rage or tantrum?

Our daughter will be 2 in May and it seems the older she gets the worse her temper is. Before, I just chalked it up to terrible two’s and having tantrums. However, now I’m concerned it’s bordering on rage. She’ll get so angry (like today because we wouldn’t let her play with the coy fish at the plant nursery) and almost becomes another kid. She’ll start hitting, slapping, trying to bite, trying to scratch. She broke my sunglasses and scratched my husbands face and broke the skin. At home she’ll hit any surface she’s around and I’m constantly watching her during these episodes because I don’t want her to hurt herself. We’ve tried multiple avenues to try and diffuse the situation. The positive thing is that she doesn’t do it at daycare, which means she can control it. It’s hard for me as a mom to see this behavior. My husbands dad is bipolar and I’m concerned she inherited it. Please, no judgements or shaming. I’m just at a loss.
