Dressing baby for out in public?

How does everyone dress their littles for out in public? I’m wondering if a T-shirt and leg warmers with a cute diaper pattern is inappropriate? We are going on a 2.5 hour drive and stopping to shop halfway through.

I usually put her in onesies and pants. It’s cold here so I layer but it the summer I would put her in a T-shirt and leg warmers. I bet it’s cute

how old is baby? for a baby-baby that sounds fine, for a toddler-baby I would put pants on them.
