Surgery and a breastfed baby

JG

After a number of debilitating gallbladder attacks my doctor decided it would be best to have my gallbladder removed...before it became an emergency situation. My baby is three months now, and will be four months at the time of my surgery. She’s exclusively breastfed and has zero interest in taking a bottle so I’m hoping to get suggestions on how to get her to take a bottle? Worrying about her not eating is stressing me out more than the surgery itself. I haven’t met with the anesthesiologist yet but from what I’ve been told/what I’ve read, it’s going to be at least 24 hours before I’m able to nurse her. I know I’ll have to pump and dump to keep my supply up. But I don’t want to just leave it at “she’ll eat when she’s hungry” because I don’t want to put her through that much distress. Any advice on how to get her on the bottle would be greatly appreciated!! (My surgery is in 5 weeks)
