Soo last night i called my best friend and we were talking blah blah. I just became a server a few days ago (so I’m not the best and can only handle so many tables).. anyways her boyfriend is in town from the military ( but he’s home EVERY weekend, they even went to California last weekend) but she wants me to cover her shift tonight... but tonight was suppose to be my boyfriend and i’s date night since we haven’t been out since November of last year since we have an 8 month old baby. She made me feel guilty saying “it’s my birthday next week and it can be my birthday gift, please if you love me.. i know you’ll do the right thing”and i don’t know what to do. I work EVERY single weekend since i have two jobs and if i took that shift I’d be working a double today as well as tomorrow. I need help? Is it selfish if i don’t take it?
