Rude or no...

Alyssa

I struggle with my in laws- hard. We just had our baby end of January and my in laws are in New York and we are in Minnesota. My husband and I had said we would have them come out anywhere from May onward so we can get set with baby ourselves.

My sister in law decided that it “works better” for her to come in April. Whatever fine. So she is coming with my mother in law in April- we already said ok even though we were annoyed because our kid is colicky and we really don’t want to play hostess while dealing with that. Now just yesterday she states that it “works best” for her to also bring her child.

I’m super annoyed because now I also have to deal with two kids in my house.

My question is- is it rude of her to change the plans after we already said ok?

Here’s my issue- I’ve had my fair share of helping out new families. The rule is we make life easier for them.

This is making life more difficult for us as we aren’t even ready for them to come and now she’s bringing her child who is always sick and who will require her attention rather than helping us out.
