any tips for baby poop

hi everyone. my baby almost 8months has trouble pooping. it's hard and can only poop when she lays down with diaper off.. when I "help" her sometimes there is a little ferry soft poop afterward. sometimes there is a little Poopie in her diaper when I change her.. how can I help her to make her poop a little smoother so she can poop on her own properly
