Tea during first trimester

I’ve been searching the posts to see if anyone has an answer, but I can’t seem to find anything conclusive.

I’ve cut back to one small cup of coffee in the morning, and would like to replace my typical 2nd or 3rd cup with some tea so I can limit caffeine.

While TTC, I was drinking green tea, spearmint/peppermint tea, and other herbal combinations. Now that I’m pregnant, I want to cut out the green tea b/c of the caffeine, but I’m reading so many conflicting ideas about what’s safe. I’m only 3w 5d so I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to make sure this babe sticks!

Has anyone spoken to a doctor about what kind of tea is safe during the first trimester?

Since I’m super early, I won’t be seeing my doctor for about a month, when I plan on asking her.

Any advice is appreciated!
