Opinions needed!!!

So my husband and I are not big on the usual traditions of baby showers and gender reveal parties... heck, I didn't even have a graduation party or a bridal shower. It's just not our thing.

I do want to throw a small celebration for our expected baby but I don't want it to be a typical baby shower. I would rather have a big summer BBQ where we invite a ton of friends over, grill some meat, and swim in the pool. We don't want games though.... well none that are traditional. Any ideas for maybe some fun or unique games that won't make people feel like they are at a baby shower?

Also, I don't want people to dread coming to a baby shower.... should I call it a "Baby shower BBQ"? I was thinking a "Baby BBQ"... but that sounded like we were cooking babies (lol). Ideas welcome!
