She is the peak risk of SIDS?

Question

I read online it’s 2-4 months. Does that mean the fourth month is included (so up until the 5th month) or once the child hits 4 months it starts to decrease? 
I can’t get my baby to sleep alone and he is 3 months. I’ve tried everything and have spent 100s on all the different beds and products. I am terrified of SIDS though.

Okay someone correct me of I'm wrong here. But... SIDs is unknown right? Like we don't know what causes it. But if a baby suffocated from the bed that's no longer SIDs right? We know what causes it, it was suffocation? Therefore concluding that bed sharing is never really optimal until baby can move and pull sheets away from their face?

I co-slept with both my babies since they were born I didn't worry to much about SID I was a light sleeper since I had my kids so I was always alert...

I had my daughter’s crib in our room for the 1st year. If you are practicing safe sleep (put to bed on back, nothing but a fitted sheet in the crib, safe sleepwear) then that’s all you can really do.
There is some evidence that breastfeeding lowers the risk of SIDS and also that vaccinating your child reduces the risk of SIDS. I read a study that children who received the DTaP vaccine were less likely to die of SIDS. 
There is no credible link between vaccines & SIDS deaths. Unfortunately, it is possible (although rare) for babies to die as a reaction to a vaccine, but that isn’t SIDS. Also this is pretty rare, you can find more information about those cases from the VAERS.

I cosleep with my daughter because I’m scared of SIDS. She’s almost 5 months old. I wake up to her every littlest movement and honestly I’m scared to put her in her own crib because I’m nervous i won’t be able to wake up to her movements or little noises 😭

Sids happens up to 12 months... my nephew passed from SIDS at 7 mths 11 days. Not to scare you but maybe invest in a monitor like angel care, snuza or owlet to help you to sleep with a peace of mind. I cant sleep without mine 🤧 and my son is almost 11 months

It could be he likes your scent. tour heart beat and warmth.  My mother had always advised me to take a shirt I have worn all day and lay it down on his crib for him to smell like a fitted sheet.. it works for me

SIDS occurs up to 12 months and only then actually decreases. I was a paranoid FTM but as long as you know you are doing the right things for your LO, that should be your biggest peice of mind. My daughter is almost 18 months  ow and I still always check to make sure she is breathing while she's sleeping. it's just a natural mom thing we all have in us.

Do you swaddle him still? If he’s rolling you can do an arms out swaddle. This was the only way my son would sleep until he outgrew all the swaddle sleep sacks. I would put it as tight as I could without it being over tight. Also pacifiers have been shown to reduce the risk of sids, but I recommend taking it away around 6 months before an attachment is formed. It’s a lot easier that way.
