Navel piercing. Is 6 months enough healing time before switching out the jewelry?

I really want to know. Will it become infected or migrate if I switch it out after about 6 months? I know it usually takes a year to heal but I’d like to change it out already... thanks.

i changed mine after 8 weeks and it was okay

I got mine pierced and my piercer told me to wait three months. Recently my jewelry fell out and I had to go back and she said that it was healed almost fully at just under three months. So I would say six months is plenty, though everyone is different. My suggestion if you’re concerned with it being enough time would be to talk to your piercer and ask them about it.
