I got my IUD inserted 3/2 about 2 weeks ago. My doctor literally gave me no information before or after, but who cares, I have the internet (I’m annoyed but know I can find out what I need to know still). Insertion was slightly uncomfortable, a few cramps and it was done. I expected to start bleeding right away and have killer cramps, and I brought a heading pad and my heavy day Thinx panties (I’ll have a whole other post on how amazing those are). But I felt 100% fine lol. Everything I read online made me nervous, and I prepared for the worst! Over the next couple weeks I had slight twingey cramps like 3 or 4 times total and that’s it!

So my period has never been early. It’s on time or late by a day or two. I didn’t know what to expect, but I hoped it just wouldn’t come lol. My period was supposed to start yesterday, but over the weekend I went pee once and saw a little blood when I wiped so I was like ok this is it! I’ll put in my diva cup so I’m ready. Went to take the cup out that night and was super nervous after everything I read about using a menstrual cup with an IUD. Got it out, and there was like a TINY amount of blood. Like pantyliner worth, so I decided that I def don’t need the cup, and a tampon would be way too much. I hate pads and pantyliners cause I don’t like wearing full butt panties and hate the way pads and tampons crease and fold, I never feel protected.

Anyway! It’s like the 3rd day of my “period” and I’m just like questioning if this is really it lmao. I haven’t bleed enough to use one regular pad over 3 days 😂 but who’s complaining?!
