Sex after miscarriage?

Question

How soon can you have sex after a miscarriage? I’m still bleeding but looking at my fiancé is driving me crazy!!! I’m sure it’s still the pregnancy hormone because my sex drive has been crazy and I passed the baby at 6 weeks on Friday. I feel good just a little bleeding. Is it safe to have sex or no?

I’d say talk to your OB, but ultimately listen to your body. My first miscarriage at 5w1d I bled like a normal period for 5 days (passed whole sac day 3)... I had sex about 2 weeks later & other than some cramping afterwards I was okay. Unfortunately I had another miscarriage again (back to back💔😞), this time at 5w6d & the bleeding lasted for 12 days with a good 8ish of those being a decent period flow (passed sac day 2 and a lot of bleeding/clots for a few days after). Hubby & I tried to have sex last night on day 13, & after a few thrusts I started having the worst cramps I’ve ever felt other than labor... I’m talking puking/cold sweats/ shaking/dizzy on the bathroom floor type cramps. It was so bad I swore my uterus/rectum was going to fall out from the pain of I stood up (only vaginal sex, never anal). My OB said this was likely uterine contractions which is why they were like my actual labor pains. She said my body simply isn’t ready yet, so despite my hubby being ready (& me too!! Ugh) I’m going to listen to my body and wait. I still tested + on a upt today too though... so I’m definitely going to wait. Just ready for this to be over with 😢
