seriously need legal advice..

(don't know what forum this belongs in so) My dad recently sold a car that was under my name. I agreed to the sale but he handled everything all I had to do was sign the title over. the girl didn't go a notary and is now threatening to sue me for falsifying information on the title!? can she do that and what kind of trouble could I get in?!
