cramping with iud?

i just got my iud put in today and ever since ive had bad cramps like sometimes it feels like tiny knives inside tylonal isnt helping is this normal? :(

It happened to me. My cramps were so bad I didn’t want to move and I just cried. I maxed out on Advil pretty quick. I pretty much laid in bed with a heating pad. It also woke me up a few times.

All I can say is I hope it works out for you. Having no period was nice for a while but the other side effects of the stupid IUD...not so fun

I had cramps all the time. They got better after insertion but I would get random shape pains all the time. I would have to breath through the cramps. I'm convinced it has to do with my uterus and is not the standard for all women.

You will cramp for a couple days but it stops. A heating pad, or warm bath along with pain relief such as Advil, Tynoal or Motrin will help as well.
