Concerning question

I was bleeding, and having contractions. I went into the emergency room and was monitored by a nurse. My contractions were regular and about 10 minutes apart. The nurse made a comment she had been there since 7 am and had to stay unwanted overtime etc. The doctor was not in and would have had to be called in. My cervix was not checked and she asked if i felt comfortable leaving so she didnt have to call my doctor in since I was no longer bleeding. Does anyone else find this odd or am i just being dramatic? Also im 30 weeks...
