I know some people are sensitive to things due to their own personal issues, curious on everyone’s thoughts on posts like these

It’d be nice if the world thought this way. I think a lot of bullying, mom shaming, etc would be put to a stop.
I think saying “social media isn’t real life” is a bit disrespectful. While that statement may be true for myself and others, some people’s social media is really an extension of their life. So again, while that statement is true for me, others may feel that’s a bit insensitive because the only “life” they have is through their social media outlet

I love this so much! Every time my Facebook friends post photos of their kids, I instantly love the photo. I also post a lot of photos of my hubby and I when we’re out.

Yes! People who don’t want to see it can kindly unfollow me. My page my rules. If they comment against it they get blocked. I’m a very respectful person however, it’s MY PAGE. If you are offended, then go elsewhere. 
I once posted something and a relative had commented about the language I decided to use. Exact words were “funny, but watch the language next time”. I’m sorry, but no. When speaking 1-1 I am going to respect you and not use foul language in front of you. However, the f word is part of my vocabulary and I’m not ashamed of it. (Not sure if I can use it on the forum which is why I abbreviated it). If there are rules against it fine, but my page is exactly that- MINE. If I considered everyone of my followers each time I posted something I wouldn’t be able to post anything because someone would be offended.

my increasing anecdotal evidence from my Facebook feed means I'm usually pretty skeptical when people post a lot of "love you so much schmoopie! I'm the luckiest girl everrrr" because all my friends who did this the most are now divorced

I love this! Whenever I see people posting judgey things about others who post about good news, I always think, "Oh, I thought we left being too cool to care about anything in high school." Especially because they're always the same people who complain when someone shares bad news online. If we can't share good news but we also can't share good news, we might as well all delete social media. I am totally here for whatever my friends want to post! If I don't want to see it, I don't have to be their Facebook friend.

I think social media is only the highlight reel of people’s lives .. it’s nice that it makes her feel good, but those photo are not a reflection of real life so hopefully she is not viewing other people’s perceived amount of happiness and comparing it to her own..

I love seeing those posts, they don’t bother me in the least (I don’t care for most selfies, but I just scroll on past them).
I will say that moderation is key. When people posts non-stop about how great their life is (or certain parts), it does make me think that they’re a little insecure and wanting to only show the good aspects to others to gain approval. But even then, it doesn’t bother me and I still enjoy looking at the pictures. 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I agree. If you don't like it, then unfriend and block people. Live and let live.  I'm sure not everyone likes to see all the mushrooms that I find either, or the flowers that I grow, or my apple gourds, but oh well. I do these things in memory of my Mother, (minus the mushroom pics,) as she was always planting flowers and gourds, and it helps me feel closer to my Mom, so if anyone has a problem with it, they can shove it!

I honestly dont understand why people get annnoyes with peoples Facebook posts.
If they annoy you just have them not in your newsfeed.
I have a friend who is constantly showing her workouts. Some of my other friends are like oh that’s annoying.
I’m sorry, but that’s her life.  She’s showing her life.  Who cares lol
