30 Wks and in the hospital

Saturday I was having pain on my right side and was experiencing a bulge that wouldn’t go away. I could hardly stand and I made everyone touch the bulge and try to identify what body part of the baby it could be, no one knew. I live alone (SO is military and long distance) and tried going to bed but the pain was too much to bear so I watched YouTube and googled my pain but could find nothing and thought it could be my appendix. Around 7am I called and woke my mother, went to get her and headed to the hospital. The bulge turned out to be baby’s butt lol she had been sticking her but bones into my side for 2 days straight but of course they decided to monitor me and baby while there. Out of nowhere I was having contractions, the doctor’s asking me if I feel that and I’m like nope. She leaves me on the monitor while she goes to do a C section, while she is gone I have contractions every 2 MINUTES!! And I could definitely feel those but nothing like I thought it would feel like. Doctor comes back and looks at my charts and was like ummm you’re staying! My cervix is still long but I have been given meds to stop contractions and steroids for baby’s lungs just Incase she decides to come. I’m on day 2 in the hospital, the contractions have stopped (thank God) but baby girl is so big (4.5lbs) I don’t think I’ll last the full 40 weeks, praying she holds out until 36 weeks. Hopefully it’s home for me in the AM 🤞🏾
