lighter period on metformin?

this is my second cycle being on 1000mg twice a day, I was on 1000mg once a day for the first 2 weeks then bumped to twice a day since, last month my period was pretty much normally how it has been my entire life, first day is light to medium flow then days 3 and 4 are extremely heavy with a lot of clot, then day 5 sometimes 6 it slows back down or stops. this time though, I was basically spotting, almost no clots, and only one day there it was hardly even medium. also glad to say that the last 2 months I've hardly experienced cramps, they use to double me over to the point of having to call in from work a couple times because it was so bad, but now I don't even notice any. has anyone else had a similar experience?
