Discharge?

So before I started my period (like at all- never had my period ever until a few weeks ago) I had pretty consistent discharge for probably a year. (I’m 16, turn 17 Friday) My cycle came through for around a week and now discharge is still coming out. Is this normal? Sorry I know it’s gross 😬
