Crib mattresses?

I didn’t realize there were so many options lol. Suggestions? Does it make a huge deal?

Get something very firm and preferably organic with no flame retardants or other toxins. I also prefer foam because it’s super lightweight and makes sheet changes so much easier. I changed my son’s sheets when I was 39 weeks pregnant and it was a breeze, but I probably would have asked for my husband’s help if we had a spring coil mattress.
We went with the Colgate organic eco-friendlier iii dual sided mattress.

I had rhe same over whelming feeling did research spoke to my friends and posted on here as well. I also went to BBB and asked a sales person we put the naturepedic organic one 🤷🏼‍♀️

We went with a My Green Mattress. We were originally stuck between a Naturepedic and a Newton Wovenair, but I wasn't really sold on either one. The My Green Mattress is very firm, yet very soft to the touch, made with wool (so naturally resistant to mold, mildew and dustmites and acts as a natural flame barrier). The cotton batting is also gots certified organic and the mattress as a whole is greengaurd certifies. All of which were very important factors to us in choosing a mattress for our baby.

It doesn't make a huge deal. Get something firm (although most baby mattresses are already made firm for safety), and then decide whether you want one that's already waterproof (so you can wipe up diaper blow outs), or if you'd rather invest in a mattress protector. You honestly don't need a super expensive one.
