How often do you and your so talk/text?

Im in a long distance relationship and my bf is 3 hours behind me. He’s always late in the mornings and he gets really busy at work. I usually only get to talk to him after he gets home from work ( unfortunately thats like 10pm for me) 
sometimes i hate this but I try to be understanding. I just wanted to see responses to compare

Between work and our schedules being opposite of each other, me and my boyfriend talk when we can. It’s not that often throughout the week, but it’s not like we’re ignoring each other and both people are still putting in effort so I don’t worry about it.

My SO and I are not into texting each other and we see each other 3-4 times a week so don’t really feel the need to call either but occasionally will. 
I actually prefer that to other relationships I’ve had where I felt obligated to text good morning first thing and talk throughout the day and then talk on the phone or see each other each night. It was exhausting! 
I find that I enjoy our time together much more and we have great conversations because I don’t know his every waking move and thought since the last time we spoke. I’m genuinely interested in how his day was because I wasn’t getting a play by play of it.
