It doesn't matter if Josephine is first name or middle name, just please take into consideration that we're an American/Argentinian couple so has to sound good in both languages (English and Spanish). PLEASE NO WEIRD NAMES! 
BTW: Josephine in Spanish is spelled Josefina so it's pretty close and easily translatable.
