Get an ultrasound?

My OB team (used them for baby #1) only does first ultrasounds between 8-11 weeks.  I see all these wonderful pictures posted on this app.  How do you guys get earlier ones?  I could barely fit in an appointment for the window I needed.  I loooove my OB team so I don’t want to switch- but I’d really love a photo sooner than later!

I’ll be 10.5 weeks for my first appt. time could not move any slower! 😑

I'm in the same situation. I called to make n appt and they said they will see me at 8wks or more.  I found I was pregnant at 6wks so this Wednesday coming up will finally be my first appt.

My dr won’t order an US for you until 8+ weeks. 
My first US is at 9 weeks. 
I think it’s pretty typical if your either a FTM or had no complications with the first pregnancy to not get an US until later in the first trimester.

I will be getting mine at 11 weeks. Unless there have been prior complications with other pregnancies or uprising complications with current pregnancy my office will do 10 weeks. I had to wait an extra week to get the time that worked for us.

I had a missed miscarriage (blighted ovum) so they want to follow this pregnancy and make sure it's progressing. otherwise I would be waiting until 8-9 weeks

You can go have an elective scan done.

Go to a normal doctor- tell them your pregnant need a dating scan her the paper work - call any clinic & book in take piece of paper with you :) and have the results forwarded to your ob

Some obs just don’t do them earlier than that . Mine does them between 10 and 12 weeks . Then again between 16 and 20 weeks and then again at 30 weeks. With my previous baby I had one every month after 10 weeks because I was deemed high risk.
