TMI description kind of lol

I went to my postpartum doctors visit today and I was told that a part of the opening of my vagina fused together so my doctor separated it (hurt like hell). I thought I heard him tell me he would give me numbing cream unless he meant during the visit but has anyone else dealt with this and did you get anything type of cream to help or did you just have to grin and bear it? I’m scared without an ointment it’ll fuse back together and it stings so bad when I pee🤦🏻‍♀️ lol
