Is this normal?

Super plus tampon and a pad on days 1-3 of period because it’s so heavy.....? Almost 5 months postpartum and this is my 4th period since baby was born. Not breastfeeding. This is my second baby and I did not experience this before.

Ive been told this is normal. I actually went through something very similar. I had extremely heavy periods after my second pregnancy, starting 2 months PP. So heavy, I would have to change my super tampon every 2-3 hours. I’d bleed through the tampon and soak a pad in 2 hours sometimes. I was told it’s normal after pregnancy. I ended up switching to a menstrual cup just to get some extra time. I could go 5-6 hours without emptying it! I decided to go back on the pill and that helped lessen my flow even more.

Sounds normal that’s how my periods were before I had my son 8 months ago. I breastfed for a while didn’t get my period until I stopped. Now my periods are lighter and shorter
