How long was your induced labour?

Question

Particularly with your first baby or even first time induction. 
I'm reaching 41 weeks, I've got an appointment with MW at 41+1 and going to discuss induction. 
How quick was your labour starting from first contraction until you've held your little bundle of joy ? And which method did they use on you? 
Pretty nervous 😟 Any insights or even advice would be appreciated

First induction took 16 hrs (2.5 of that was pushing), second took 13 hours (only 45 mins of pushing). Eat a good meal beforehand. My hospital wouldn't allow me to eat and I was starving my first birth. Second birth I ate a lot before going and did much better.

This was my first baby and I chose to be induced, it lasted 7 hours and pushed for 40 minutes they used the foley bulb which was only in for 20 minutes the most and then they started pitocin on a drop of 1 and never upped it because my body was doin most of the work, so all in all I had a great experience being induced! Quite frankly, I think I would opt to do it for the next one too...

had one with my 1st. lasted nearly 24 hrs. did half a cytotec in evening the other in morning. at noon broke water and at 2pm started pitocin. after that 4 hrs and baby here. I had tearing from inside from pitocin being to strong.

Mine was just under 24 hours. They started with the Foley bulb catheter at 8pm. It was initially too full and was causing severe and painful contractions, so they made the balloons a little smaller. It was then uncomfortable but bearable, like period pain. I needed a valium to sleep. I awoke a 6am and the catheter fell out and I was 3cms. At 8am my OB broke my waters. It was painless but there was meconium, so they started the syntocin at 9am. At 11am I went into active labour and the pain ratcheted Up . I tried the gas which helped but made me feel nauseous and woozy. The pain was Intense. I was getting natural contractions on top of the synthetic ones and they were rolling into one another. At 2pm I was only 4cms so I asked for a epidural. The anaesthetist took a hour to get to me, and then 15 minutes to get the epidural. It took about 45 minutes to get my pain under control. From then it was easy. If I had to have another induction I would the epidural sooner. At 6:30pm I started to push. With the epidural this part was fun and at 7:24 my baby girl was born. Although my third stage was managed, my placenta wasn't coming so I needed emergency surgery. The whole experience was intense, painful and a little traumatic, but it still was one of the best days of my life.
